In honor of his younger hero John Cena, R-Truth issued a United States Championship open challenge. Andrade answered before Rey Mysterio ran right past him.
Truth decided to give them both a shot in a Triple Threat.
The champion was mostly the third wheel in this fight, as The Master of the 619 and El Idolo showed how much history they had with incredible counters back-and-forth.
However, after Mysterio caught Andrade with a 619, Truth rolled up the veteran for three to retain his title.

Rey Mysterio was set to fight Samoa Joe, but Zelina Vega interrupted to taunt the luchador. This allowed Andrade to sneak up and attack The Master of the 619, laying him out in impressive fashion.
This was a great way to promise this feud is far from over.

Andrade goes right after Mysterio with a few strikes, but Rey quickly turns things around with a headscissor takedown. He hits a hurricanrana from the apron as we head to a commercial less than a minute into the match.

We return to see Mysterio nail a kick from the apron followed by a seated senton. Andrade counters a springboard with a dropkick for a near fall. Mysterio hits a snap sunset flip for his own near fall. Andrade yanks Rey off the middle rope, but Mysterio is able to do the same to him moments later. They end up on the turnbuckle together where Andrade counters a hurricanrana and hits a powerbomb from the top rope to score the first fall. That was an insane bump for Mysterio. 
Mysterio counters a second powerbomb with a Canadian Destroyer to even the score at one fall each. 
We return to see Andrade pull Rey out of the ring only to end up being shoved into the barricade. Mysterio connects with an enziguiri at ringside before sliding out of the ring to send Andrade into the barricade with a sunset flip. Rey douses himself with some water to regain his bearings. He hits a beautiful springboard frankensteiner for a near fall. Andrade locks in an armbar over the top rope for the full five-count. Andrade backflips to counter a sunset flip on the apron and ends up slamming Mysterio into the ring post. He hits the Hammerlock DDT but Rey gets his foot on the rope to force a break. Rey and Andrade botch something in the corner but recover quickly. Mysterio spikes Andrade with an inverted hurricanrana for another close two count. Mysterio hits the 619 and sets up to drop the dime, but Samoa Joe comes out and causes a DQ by attacking both men. He rams Andrade into the ring post and locks Rey in the Coquina Clutch. He grabs a mic and says he came here to make a statement. He promises to win the Royal Rumble before Randy Orton literally comes out of nowhere and hits an RKO to take him down. That was pretty

Randy Orton hit the ring Tuesday night to address his attack on Rey Mysterio and the theft of his mask.

The Viper called the experience euphoric, insisting he does not care about the history or prestige of the mask. He vowed to make Mysterio the latest of his long line of victims.

The Master of the 619 interrupted, rushing the ring sporting a neck brace. He endured an assault at the hands of The Viper but fought back and landed two 619s.

Orton fought back, delivered two draping DDTs and finished by wrapping a chair around his rival’s head and sending him into the steel steps.

The fans booed as officials checked on Mysterio.

Daniel Bryan is off the SmackDown team so he can face AJ Styles, so The Miz names Jeff Hardy as the final member of the team. He also tries to tell Rey Mysterio he is off the team because he was Bryan’s pick. Paige orders him to keep Rey or defeat him. Mysterio agrees to her terms and Paige makes the match for after the break.
Miz rolls up Rey for a two count right away. He tries a couple more pinning combinations with no success. The A-Lister grounds the luchador in a headlock. Mysterio hits a headscissor takedown to send Miz out of the ring so he can hit a sliding splash. Miz gets his knees up to block as we head to a commercial.
Rey picks up the win via pinfall
Orton runs in and tries to RKO Mysterio, but Rey counters. Randy settles for hitting The Miz instead while Mysterio watches from the ramp.

The finish came via a 619 to Miz from Mysterio followed by a Swanton from Hardy. Afterwards, Orton laid everyone out — including his partner Miz — with an RKO to stand tall and end the show.

We see Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy backstage talking. Rey will be in action tonight. Back to commercial.
We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out comes Rey Mysterio. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura for this non-title match, the final WWE World Cup qualifier. The bell rings and they get a feel for each other. Nakamura drops Rey and goes to work. Nakamura with a big knee to the jaw for a 2 count. Nakamura keeps control and grounds Rey, looking for the guillotine choke. Rey catches Nakamura and turns it around but Nakamura drives a knee to the gut to cut him off.

Nakamura takes Rey back tot he mat and drives knees into him. Nakamura misses a kick and gets dropped into the ropes. Rey goes for 619 but Nakamura escapes to the floor. Rey with shots to Nakamura before running the ropes and flying under the bottom rope for a splash on the floor. Fans chant “you still got it” at Rey now. Rey brings Nakamura back into the ring but Nakamura turns him upside down in the corner and kicks him. The referee backs Nakamura off as Rey recovers. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Rey is going to work on Nakamura. Rey goes to the top but Nakamura cuts him off. Nakamura climbs up and places Rey on his shoulders while up high. Rey fights it and brings Nakamura to the mat with a hurricanrana. Rey covers for a 2 count. Nakamura ends up turning it around with a big counter. Nakamura places Rey on the top turnbuckle and delivers a high knee for another 2 count. Nakamura with more offense. He goes for the Kinshasa now but Rey rolls him up for a 2 count.

Nakamura drops Rey and goes for the Kinshasa again but it’s blocked. Rey drops Nakamura into position and hits the 619 for a big pop. Rey drops the dime and covers Nakamura for the non-title win to earn the final World Cup spot.

After the match, Rey stands tall as his music plays. The announcers hype the WWE World Cup when the bells toll and the lights go out. Rey looks on as The Undertaker begins to make his grand entrance.
